Tour Our New State-of-the Art Mechanical Room

Taco Innovation & Development Center Update:
Tour Our New, Energy-Efficient Mechanical Room

Take a guided tour of the mechanical room in the new Taco Innovation & Development Center with Rich Medairos, project mechanical engineer.

Medairos will walk you through the highlights of this sophisticated, integrated installation incorporating a variety of design strategies for an energy efficient building including:

The new mechanical room was designed using Taco HSS software to maximize design efficiency and reduce design time to a minimum.

The results: An independent engineering group that modeled the Taco Innovation & Development Center found that it uses just 35% of the energy of a comparable, standard building, and has an energy savings of 29.1% over an ASHRAE 90.1-2007 baseline code compliant building. This corresponds to an Energy Star rating of 88 (out of 100), meaning the new building consumes less energy per square foot than 88% of comparable buildings.
