Taco Introduces Line of Vertical Turbine Pumps

Latest News > E-mail Newsletters

There's always something new at TACO-HVAC.com. This week, that includes an extensive new line of vertical turbine pumps—30 models and 11 five-foot column assemblies—for a broad range of water supply and transfer applications. Taco introduced the pumps just a few weeks ago at the recent AHR Expo.

The new VT Series Vertical Turbine Pumps are quiet in operation, easy to install and feature Taco's proven performance and reliability. They come standard with GE high-efficiency, induction-type motors.

VT Series Pumps are available in suction sizes from 4" to 12" and have flow rates from 75–6,000 gpm.

They are equipped with:
  • Ductile iron discharge heads
  • High-profile discharge head allows a two-piece head shaft
  • 250 PSI stuffing box
  • 416 stainless steel shafting and couplings
  • Stainless steel impellers
  • Epoxy-lined cast iron intermediate bowls

Taco VT Series Vertical Turbine Pumps are ideal for applications including condenser water, chilled water, water transfer, pressure boosting and water supply. Get more information here.

2009 Taco Hydronics Factory Training Filled for February
The first session of the 2009 Taco FloPro Factory Training, scheduled for Feb. 26-27, has been sold out. As we've said before, space is strictly limited so all participants get plenty of personal attention and hands-on training.

The next training opportunity will be "Strictly Radiant" on March 12-13, followed by "Hydronic Heat Loss & Design" on March 19-20.

If you have not taken a good look at the schedule for our 2009 Factory Training program, now is a good time to do it.

In addition to "The 'Compleat' Boiler Room," the program includes, "Strictly Radiant," and "Hydronic Heat Loss & Design." All are two-day courses conducted by John Barba, Taco residential product training and trade program manager.

This training is all NATE- and NORA-certified, and it is a great way to prepare yourself to take advantage of the growing opportunities in the radiant heating market.

Taco Factory Training is open to all FloPro Team members, but you must be a team member to participate. If you haven't already signed up for this great, free contractor development program, learn more and register here.

We are constantly adding to the wealth of information in all categories at TACO-HVAC.com, so please visit often. We search hundreds of news sources every week, so you don't have to.
