Supply New England Presents its Manufacturer of the Year Award to Taco, Inc.


Taco was presented with the Supply New England “Manufacturer of the Year” Award for 2004 at a special employee luncheon ceremony held recently at Taco.

Supply New England President David Corcoran presented the Award to John White, Jr., Taco’s owner and chief executive, citing Taco’s commitment to product quality and the “constant improvement of its distributor programs and services.” Taco’s first shift was on hand for the award presentation, which was made under a tent set up within Taco’s parking lot.

Also on hand was a contingent from Emerson-Swan, Taco’s longtime New England sales representative firm, led by Tom Swan, Jed Swan and Parker Wheat.

All three companies – Supply New England, Taco and Emerson-Swan - are multi-generational, family-owned and operated businesses.

The recipient of the annual Manufacturer of the Year award from Supply New England is determined by the wholesaler’s branch and administrative managers. Sharing awards this year from Supply New England, in addition to Taco, was J&K Sales Associates of Manchester, New Hampshire, as Sales Rep. Agency for 2003.

One of the largest wholesalers in New England, Supply New England operates 15 plumbing and heating supply house locations across Southern New England, to include Cape Cod and the Islands. The company also operates six high-end Kitchen & Bath Gallery retail outlets.
