Cranston, RI, April 13, 2007 - Taco, Inc. has announced that radiant heating training expert John Barba, formerly of Uponor, has joined the company as its new Residential Product Training and Trade Program Manager, effective immediately.

Barba had been with Uponor since 1995 as its training manager and is a well-known name in the radiant heating industry. A Massachusetts native, he worked in the radiant heating industry in the Bay State from 1987 until joining Uponor. Previous positions involved working for his family's plumbing and heating business, and serving as an inside sales/tech support and radiant designer for several firms. He is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. with a degree in journalism/communications.

At Taco Barba will develop and conduct a product and system-based training program focusing on Taco's Radiant Made Easy products and the company's "All About You" commitment to its customers' success. He will develop and oversee training programs, promotional opportunities and rewards programs, and field communications.

"John Barba is recognized as one of the best trainers and radiant specialists in the HVAC business," says Robert Coons, Taco's Senior Vice President - Residential Sales and Marketing. "He has trained over 10,000 contractors during his years at Wirsbo/Uponor and many of those contractors are - or will become - Taco's customers too. John is the answer to our training program and contractor outreach expectations in the years ahead."

"Getting John Barba is a real coup for Taco," adds president and CEO John Hazen White, Jr. "We're delighted to have him join the Taco team."

During his eleven years with Wirsbo/Uponor Barba established the Uponor factory and field training program, implemented sales training courses for contractors, and developed and helped organize the widely recognized Uponor Home Comfort Team (HCT) program. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota and is the author of numerous articles in HVAC industry magazines.

Headquartered in Cranston, RI, Taco, Inc. is a leading developer and producer of hydronic heating and cooling products including Radiant Made Easy products.
